AUDIO RECORDINGS

Here are a few audio and video recordings.  We have quite a few more in the archives, but many of them will need to be edited or processed to improve quality. Check back for more offerings over time. We plan to make more recordings of lectures, presentations and interviews available in the future.

Binder, C. (2008). Building Fluent Performance: Fluency Blockers and Fluency Builders  [audio file]. Presentation at the annual conference of the International Society for Performance Improvement.

 VIDEO RECORDINGS

Lindsley, O. R. (1979).  Ogden Lindsley: The Advantage of Standard Graphic Coordinates - from Skinner to Precision Teaching  [YouTube video].  This is a recovered and improved recording from a 1979 presentation by Ogden R. Lindsley, introduced by Julie Skinner Vargas, on the roots of Precision Teaching and standard celeration charting in Skinner's standard measure, rate of response or behavior frequency. Pictures added for interest.

McDermott, M. J. (2007).  Math Education - An Inconvenient Truth [YouTube video]. A wonderful video by a Seattle-area meteoroligist exposes the farce of "reform" math – what one might think of as the polar opposite of fluency development.

Mass, C. (2007).  Math Education – a University View [YouTube video]. A second video expands the analysis of what's wrong with the current math curriculum.
